Dear Friends! Let me remind you that the deadline for films submission to Krakow Film Festival will pass on 31st January 2007! All film entries have to be register on-line at our website: www.cff.pl. During the 47th Krakow Film Festival apart from two well-known short film sections there will be the third, brand new section presenting feature-length documentaries. As usual, documentaries of a total running time not longer than 60 minutes, fictions and animations up to 30 minutes will compete for the statuettes of Dragons and Hobby – Horses. In addition to this, winner of the international feature-length documentaries competition will be awarded. The preview copy should be sent to the following address : KRAKOW FILM FESTIVAL ul. Online training course on Conflict Resolution Dear colleagues, Our NGO RESPECT Refugiados is launching a new online training course on Conflict Resolution. Since we can't prevent conflict, the most important thing is to learn *how to handle or manage it *in productive ways. What is critical for resolving conflict is developing an understanding of, and a trust in, shared goals. However, there are several strategies for coping with conflict. Knowing when and how to use these techniques can make you a more effective leader. The training is split in two main parts: *"dealing with difficult people*", for those who find themselves on an complicated environtment when individuals are key part of the success of our projects, and "*getting along on the workplace*", for those others who have to work together with the same persons for a long period, on the same office, on the same projects and activites. By screening some of the most recent and exciting films about mountain issues, environment, cultures, communities and societies from various corners of the world along with various other activities during the festival KIMFF seeks to demonstrate the complexity and diversity of mountain life.
