Street Artists Festival
Hangar Art Association is going to organize 'Street Artists Festival' in cooperation with street artists between the 31st of August and the 2nd of September in Istanbul, Turkey. Artists are getting involved in identification of festival concepts, themes and in preparation of all activities. The Festival will be an effort to support the rights of street artists to perform and sell their art on public sidewalks against the removal of artists from public spaces. Street art is immediate, intimate and interactive. It is a colourful celebration which challenges the harshness of our urban landscape. Street art is reclamation of our public spaces and our community. The festival will feature a variety of musical, visual and performance artists and it will be a free event; ensuring everybody has the opportunity to attend a vast selection of exhibitions, open studios, walking art tours and workshops.
